Our Story
Field Hockey at the Heart of Abbotsford
The Abbotsford Field Hockey Club was founded by a group of parents and former players who believed the Fraser Valley deserved a world-class field hockey program. What started as informal weekend training on a community grass patch has grown into one of the most respected youth sporting organisations in British Columbia.
Today, AFHC runs eight programs serving players from age 5 through to senior adults, with certified NCCP coaches, Safe Sport accreditation, and a growing provincial competition record. Our players have earned university scholarships, BC provincial selections, and — most importantly — a lifelong love for a fast, exciting, and increasingly popular sport.
We are a community club first. Every decision we make — from program pricing to scheduling — is made with accessibility and family convenience in mind.
