Learn to Play in Abbotsford, BC
Is This the Right Program?
Our Learn to Play program is designed for children between the ages of 5 and 7 who have never held a field hockey stick before. This introductory program creates a welcoming, pressure-free environment where your child's first experience of sport is fun, safe, and confidence-building. We know that the early sporting years shape a child's relationship with physical activity for life, so every session is carefully structured around play-based learning and positive reinforcement. This program is perfect for parents who want their young child to try a team sport without committing to a full competitive season. Whether your son or daughter is naturally athletic or simply curious about field hockey after watching a sibling or friend play, they will find a warm community here. Our certified coaches are experienced in working with young children and understand that attention spans are short at this age -- so every drill doubles as a game. Abbotsford families from across the Fraser Valley drive to join this program because of our reputation for nurturing first-time athletes. We welcome children from Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Langley, and Aldergrove. By the end of the season, your child will know how to grip a stick, dribble in a straight line, and most importantly -- love coming to practice.
