U14 Competitive in Abbotsford, BC
Is This the Right Program?
The AFHC U14 program is where serious field hockey players begin to differentiate themselves. At this level, the game demands a combination of technical precision, physical athleticism, and tactical intelligence. Players in U14 are typically 12-13 years old and are developing the attributes that will determine whether they advance toward provincial or national pathways. Our U14 coaching staff includes former provincial-level players who bring both competitive experience and world-class coaching education to every session. Training is more demanding at this level: sessions run three times per week, and the physical conditioning component becomes a formal part of the program. Players are introduced to sports science concepts including recovery, hydration, and mental preparation. The U14 team competes in the BC Field Hockey provincial league system and targets a top-four finish in its division annually. We also send select players to BC Field Hockey's High Performance identification events. For families from across the Fraser Valley -- Abbotsford, Langley, Chilliwack, and Mission -- this program offers one of the region's most credible pathways toward elite youth field hockey.
